Measuring Our Impact
Aiming to achieve something and actually achieving it are two different things.
Although children get grades for academic subjects, there’s no real evaluation of fitness and motor skills development. In a survey of 70 UK schools, none of them applied a measurement system to determine whether physical education was leading to improved physical fitness and coordination.
Data gathering by independent agencies has provided us with food for thought, but developing an effective measurement system will require a great deal more. Since the Fanzland app tracks physical activity, the data it gathers can be used to further our knowledge of childhood physical fitness and motor skills development.
