Motivation can come to a sudden halt after injury. Take a look at Wilma Rudolph, during childhood she contracted polio and quickly became paralysed in one leg. Despite this major obstacle, Wilma trained day in and day out until she was able to run again. In 1960, she became the fastest woman in the world and broke three world records at the Olympics.
